About us

The television production company KidsTV is based in Vienna und was founded in 2005 by the manager Hans Ponsold. It scored a major success with its first own production, the “Tom Turbo” series, based on the successful children’s book series of the same name by Thomas C. Brezina.

With its more than 40 employees and free-lance staff and an output of almost 6.000 minutes of self-produced programmes each year, KidsTV has become one of the biggest production companies for children’s TV in the German-speaking countries.

Award for „Trick Factory“  

At this year’s World-Media-Festival on May 19th 2010 in Hamburg/Germany, Thomas C. Brezina’s “Trick Factory” was awarded the „Intermedia-Globe-Silver-Award“ in the category „Children’s Entertainment”. In 2009, the show was honored with the "Eyes and Ears"-Award in the category "Audio-Design and Composition - Best Network-, Program-, Film- or Content related Music-Composition and/or Production".

After the huge success of the show’s first season (up to 68 per-cent market-share in cable and satellite households, 39 per-cent average nation-wide market-share), the second season of “Trick Factory” currently brings you magic moments every Saturday at 8:45 a.m. on ORF 1 within ORF’s children’s program "Okidoki". But not only ORF banks on the show, produced by KidsTV in Vienna: starting June 13th, (until November 21st, 2010) „Trick Factory“ is also being aired on the German children’s channel KI.KA.
